For our day-to-day service in offices and conference sites, La Prima Catering strives to create a positive environmental impact. From the very start, we try to source as much of our seasonally available produce from our own garden, partner farms, and our new hydroponic system.

As our chefs prepare catered meals, all of the food scraps are saved and sent to our partners at Groundworks Farm. La Prima’s composting practices have helped up keep over ten thousand pounds of food waste out of landfills and reduce our water usage by over 25%. Our efforts have earned us the badge of a near-zero waste facility.

In addition, La Prima Catering is committed to using 100% renewable energy in all of our kitchens. In the past year we have also cut our electrical usage by nearly 20% with energy efficient appliances, new light bulbs and effective energy policies.

By switching to new delivery vehicles and adjusting our routes we have doubled our mileage and cut out greenhouse gas emissions in half. However, we cannot stop there! La Prima Catering is committed to spreading the word on sustainable services. With your meal, you will receive complimentary compostable plates, recyclable cutlery and serving utensils.
